We are the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of the Holy Trinity
The roots of our church stem from the 16th century reformation and beyond to the beginnings of the early Christian church that accepted the Bible as the inerrant Word of God and as her guide for faith and life.
Some qualities are shared by all biblical and reformed churches: We preach the saving Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our church’s beliefs are set out in detail in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms. Christ is the Head of our church (Eph. 1:22, 23). He directs his church by His Word and the Holy Spirit, as well as through people He appoints to spiritual ministry (Eph. 4:10-12), namely elders or presbyters. It is from this word that we get the title ‘Presbyterian’.
The Presbytery is the governing organ for all the Presbyterian Churches in Ukraine. Our church, along with all other Presbyterian churches as well as Reformed churches, is also a part of the Union of Evangelical Reformed Churches. We are a covenantal church and believe that God, in His gracious kindness, has established a covenant of grace with all believers and their children. We are a traditional church, but at the same time we remain open to the new and are prepared to continue to be reformed by God’s Word.
Holy Trinity was established in 1994. The church continues to grow and develop. Through the ministry of our church, we have had the great honor of seeing how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed the lives of many people for the better – not only in Kiev, but in other Ukrainian cities as well.
The Worship of God is our church’s primary concern. Each Sunday we gather to worship our God – the Creator and Redeemer. In our Worship, we strive for perfection in the preaching of the Word and in praise. We also hold Sunday school for children and adults. Guests are always welcome at church and in our home Bible studies. We recommend that young people take part in our attractive youth ministry. There are women’s and men’s ministries.
Each Sunday, we also offer English translation for our foreign guests and members during our worship services.
